NALK Air Conditioning & Heating respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices you may have.

This policy applies when you use our website, contact us, request or receive HVAC services, sign up for email updates, exchange text messages with us, or otherwise interact with our business.

We use this information to respond to you, schedule and provide services, process transactions, send requested communications, operate and secure our website, maintain records, and meet legal duties.

We do not sell personal information. Our pages link to Facebook and other outside sites. They do not load embedded Facebook posts. More information about our collection, use, retention, and disclosure practices appears below.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

  • Contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Service information, such as your property address, HVAC equipment, service needs, appointment details, service history, and preferences.
  • Communications, such as emails, text messages, telephone call notes, requests, questions, and feedback. Calls to our main office line may be recorded for quality and training. A message tells you this before recording begins.
  • Transaction information, such as invoices, payment status, and other records related to services we provide. Payment card information may be processed by a payment service provider.
  • Website information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, cookie choices, and technical information needed to operate and secure the website.
  • Communication preferences, including your choices about email, text messages, and website cookies.

We may not collect every type of information from every person.

We do not sell personal information. Our pages do not load embedded social-media posts. If you follow a link to an outside site, that site handles your visit under its own privacy policy.

Our website currently uses these named providers:

  • Osano provides our cookie banner and privacy-choice tools. Osano processes and stores your cookie choices so the website can remember them.
  • Intuit Mailchimp provides our Stay in the Know email service. Mailchimp processes and stores the email address and related signup information of anyone who subscribes.
  • accessiBe provides our accessibility controls and automatic page adjustments. The tool loads with the page before you choose optional cookies and connects your browser to accessiBe. Its privacy notice says accessWidget processes page structure, styles, image and link addresses, clicks, and page views. It may also process your IP address, the page address, and your accessibility choices. Read accessiBe’s privacy notice for details.

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by a subpoena, court order, law, or other valid legal process.
  • When reasonably needed to protect a person, our property, our rights, or the security of our services.
  • In connection with a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business.
  • When you direct us or give us permission to make the disclosure.

7. COOKIES AND WEBSITE TOOLS

Links to Facebook and other outside sites do not load those sites until you follow the link. Those sites control their own processing under their privacy policies.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) by denying advertising consent, including when a returning visitor previously accepted it. You can change other optional choices through Cookie Preferences.

Our website uses cookies and similar technology needed to operate the site and remember privacy choices.

Osano provides our cookie banner. You can review or change your cookie choices at any time by selecting the privacy icon labeled "Cookie Preferences" in the corner of the website.

Cookies needed for the website's basic operation, consent records and security may operate without an optional cookie choice.

We do not add analytics or advertising pixels to our pages.

You may also adjust your browser settings to limit cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may cause some website features to work incorrectly.

8. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

You may choose to join our Stay in the Know email list. When you subscribe, Mailchimp receives and stores your email address so it can send NALK email updates.

These emails may include HVAC tips, seasonal reminders, company news, and offers. You can unsubscribe through the link included in an email.

We do not sell email addresses or give them to other companies for their own marketing.

9. TEXT MESSAGES

If you choose to receive text messages from NALK Air Conditioning & Heating, we may send appointment confirmations, reminders, service updates, follow-up messages, or promotional messages covered by your consent.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive promotional text messages is not required to buy goods or services.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or by using another reasonable method to tell us that you no longer want text messages. You may reply HELP or contact us for assistance.

We do not sell mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent. We do not disclose this information to third parties for their own marketing. We may provide it to service providers that help us deliver and manage NALK text messages, but only for that purpose.

An opt-out applies to the messages covered by the request. We may still send a message required to confirm or complete your opt-out when permitted by law.

Service-request forms send your details to our office by email. The website does not keep a separate copy of your form entries. It uses a temporary hashed network-address counter to limit repeated sends; expired counters reset and old counter files are removed during later form requests. Hosting and email providers may keep their own security and delivery records.

10. INFORMATION RETENTION

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed to:

  • Provide requested services.
  • Maintain service, warranty, payment, tax, and business records.
  • Honor communication and privacy choices.
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
  • Meet legal, insurance, and regulatory duties.

Retention periods may differ based on the type of information and why we collected it. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it, unless the law permits or requires us to keep it.

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 16.
