Heating problems to describe
Note areas that do not warm, weak airflow, repeated starts and stops, unusual noise, an error message, or a system that will not run. These symptoms need diagnosis; they do not establish that an entire unit must be replaced.
If you smell gas, leave the area and call 911 from a safe place outside. Do not operate switches or try to find the leak. See PG&E’s gas-safety instructions.
A diagnosis before repair work
Give the site’s city, access instructions, equipment information if available, and the person who can approve work. The office confirms the appointment date and time. The technician explains the findings and repair options.
The commercial diagnosis visit charge is $129 for the first hour. Parts are separate, and the charge is not credited toward repair or replacement. If diagnosis needs more time, the technician asks before continuing at the hourly rate or provides a repair quote. Parts and labor are quoted before repair work. Visits after 5 pm and on weekends use time-and-a-half rates. A $150 travel charge applies per visit in Coalinga, Hanford, Lemoore, Oakhurst, and other communities farther from Fresno; confirm the charge with the office before arranging a visit.
Planned heating maintenance
Checks depend on whether the system uses a gas furnace, electric heat, or a heat pump. Ask for a written maintenance scope and schedule based on your equipment and building use. Confirm any priority or discount terms rather than assuming they apply to every plan.
