Nalk Air Conditioning and Heating wants everyone to be able to use nalkacandheating.com: to read about our work, call the office, and send a service request. This page says what the site aims for, what has been tested and when, what is not finished, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
What this site aims for
We build and test this site with reference to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium. That is the target. Referencing it does not make this page a certification or a conformance audit, and we do not say the site fully meets any level of WCAG.
This statement describes our approach. It is not a guarantee, a warranty, or a certification of conformance to any accessibility standard. Nalk Air Conditioning and Heating and Throttle Up Media, which maintains this site, do not certify ADA Title III conformance or WCAG conformance.
What has been tested, and when
The most recent full round ran on October 15 and 16, 2026. Software ran every test below, including the screen reader run. No record shows a person who uses assistive technology testing the site. Automated tools find only part of the problems, so we used several kinds of test.
- Automated scan, October 15, 2026. The axe engine scanned 67 pages as the site was built that day. It ran twice: once as each page loads, and once with scroll-triggered content revealed. It reported no violations in either run. It marked 165 items as undecided, mostly text over photos and gradients and the labels in the cookie notice. We checked each of those against measured colors. Pages have changed since that scan.
- Automated scan, October 18, 2026. The axe engine again reported no violations on the live home page, service areas page and team page, and on this page before it was published.
- Screen reader, October 16, 2026. A script drove Apple VoiceOver on a Mac, in a WebKit browser, the engine behind Safari. On each of 68 pages it read the main heading and the next four items. It also ran 26 shared tasks: the skip link, the menus on desktop and in a 390 pixel wide window, the cookie notice and its preferences, the footer privacy link, the newsletter signup, the play and pause button on the home page videos, and the labels, errors and confirmation on the contact form and the free second quote form. All 94 checks passed.
- Keyboard, October 15, 2026. A script pressed keys in a browser on 38 sample pages, one for each page type. On every sample page the footer privacy link opened the cookie preferences from the keyboard. It also filled in and submitted the contact form and the free second quote form using the keyboard alone. At 320 pixels wide, the sample footers needed no sideways scrolling.
- Footer link, October 18, 2026. The same kind of keyboard check confirmed that the new Accessibility link in the footer can be reached with the Tab key and opened with Enter on the same 38 sample pages.
- Videos. The two videos on the home page have no sound and play muted. A play and pause button controls them, and the VoiceOver run above read it correctly.
What is not finished
Here is what we know is still open:
- A review of the live site on October 15 found some headings and small notes with too little contrast against their background, and eight icon links on the service areas page with no name for a screen reader. We changed pages after that review, and the October 18 scan above reported none of these. Automated scans cannot judge every contrast case, so we do not say all of them are gone.
- The same review listed other possible problems that we have not confirmed: links that may be told apart by color alone, and scrolling areas that may not work by keyboard.
- We checked 200 percent browser zoom on the contact page only, in Safari. We have not checked it on other pages, and we have not checked 400 percent.
- The screen reader run used VoiceOver on a Mac. We have not tested other screen readers such as JAWS or NVDA. On most pages it read the main heading and the next four items, not the whole page.
Work on this list continues, and we update this page when the results change.
Tools and content we do not control
This site offers an accessibility widget from accessiBe. It is an optional tool for visitors who want to change how a page looks. We do not count it as proof that the site is accessible, and the tests above ran on the pages themselves.
The cookie notice comes from Osano, and some pages carry content from other companies, such as Facebook. Those companies run their own tools. If one of them blocks you, tell us anyway.
Tell us if something does not work
If a page is hard to use, or something stopped you from calling or sending a request, we want to know. You do not need to know what is wrong or what to call it. “I could not find the phone number” is enough. It helps if you tell us which page you were on and what you were trying to do.
