Why plan an AC tune-up before summer?
A planned cooling visit gives you time to review the system’s condition and any recommended work before heavy use. It does not guarantee a problem-free summer or an appointment sooner than another customer.
Tell the office about known faults
A maintenance request and a system that has stopped working may need different visits. Describe weak cooling, new sounds, repeated cycling, or water when you call. The office confirms the appointment date and time.
A repair diagnosis has a visit charge. Read what a repair visit costs for the first-hour charge, additional time, parts, after-hours rates, and travel charges. The technician explains repair options and costs before you approve repair work.
Use the visit to understand condition
Checks depend on the equipment. A technician can review airflow, filters, coil condition, controls, and operating measurements, then explain findings. Ask what each proposed repair includes and whether it is separate from maintenance.
See ENERGY STAR’s maintenance checklist for seasonal-care guidance.
Keep a record
Keep the service date, findings, approved work, and any instructions. Follow the equipment manual for filter care between professional visits. A plan does not remove the need to call about a new fault.
Compare planned-care choices
Nalk’s Energy Savings Agreement includes planned maintenance, priority scheduling, and 10% off replacement parts. The discount does not cover labor or new units. Read the current plan’s full price, duration, included visits, eligibility, and cancellation terms before enrolling. Nothing renews automatically.
If the condition calls for a replacement discussion, compare the repair and replacement scope. Installation and replacement estimates are free. Already have a repair, installation, or replacement quote from another company? Ask about our free second quote. A request becomes an appointment when the office confirms the date and time.
